The Holland Circuit registered locally as Methodisten Kerk Nederland (MKN) is one of 15 circuits in the Leeward Islands District The other circuits are the Caribbean islands of: Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Croix, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin, St. Thomas/St. John and a mission station in Guadeloupe, French West Indies.
This District is a conference of the broader Methodist Church of the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA), a grouping of eight District Conferences. These other seven District Conferences are: Bahamas Turks and Caicos, Panama/Costa Rica, Belize/Honduras, Haiti, Southern Caribbean, Guyana and Jamaica.
Our congregations currently meet for worship in the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Together they form a circuit led by a Superintendent Minister and two Circuit Stewards who are the Chief Executive Officers of the church.

The Methodist Church in Rotterdam has been engaged in ministry for nearly thirty-five years. The Congregation has, however, changed its meeting place more than once. It now meets in central Rotterdam. Lord’s Day Worship is now held at the Scots International Church Schiedamsesingel 2.
We meet for Lord’s Day worship every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and a warm welcome awaits you should you join the Rotterdam Congregation in worship, fellowship, or Christian service.
Lord’s Day Worship is Word-centred and includes the proclamation of the gospel; but we also share in rich fellowship as we embrace persons as equal children of God. We celebrate New Life in Jesus Christ and emphasise our role in home, church and community as stewards of God’s grace. Worship is mostly in English but on the third Lord’s Day of each month, this is more a bilingual celebration, with Dutch hymns and prayers, and sometimes the sermon, forming part of the liturgy. Every Sunday, Children’s Ministry is mostly in Dutch.
Sunday School for children is held during worship but also online at on Sundays 10: 00-11:00. We welcome children who may not be regular worshippers with the Congregation. The SKYPE link can be obtained by contacting tadolphus@ziggo.nl
Bible Study for adults is held online on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. On the first and third Tuesdays of the month, studies are in Dutch while English classes are held every Tuesday. Should you wish to join, you need to submit your email address to methodistholland@gmail.com indicating your desire to be a part of this Discipleship Class.
You can also the congregation in its outreach efforts through financial support or physical participation. Some women of the congregation offer a feeding ministry at the Ronald Macdonald Huis associated with Sofia hospital. Through active involvement in worship, fellowship or outreach ministry, you can claim your place in the life of the church and God’s action in the world around us.
If you are new to the city and seeking a home church, we welcome you with open arms. If you are visiting on holiday, please feel free to share in worship and fellowship. There is always a chance to meet and share in the coffee and tea service after worship.

Newcomers to Amsterdam, whether residents looking for a home church, or visitors who need a place to worship and share in fellowship, find a hearty welcome at the Methodist Church- Methodisten Kerk Nederland (MKN). Along with the Rotterdam Congregation, we are the Holland Circuit of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA). The MCCA has been engaged in ministry in the Netherlands for the past 35 years.
MKN Amsterdam is a small closely knit fellowship of believers who meet for worship at the Baptist Gemeente at Het Breed 2 in Amsterdam Noord (1625 HR). Lord’s Day Worship begins every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and a warm welcome awaits you should you join the Amsterdam Congregation in worship, fellowship, or Christian service.
Lord’s Day Worship is Word-centred and includes the proclamation of the gospel; but we also share in rich fellowship as we embrace persons as equal children of God. We celebrate New Life in Jesus Christ and emphasise our role in home, church and community as stewards of God’s grace. Worship is mostly in English with Children’s Ministry in Dutch. A combination of Dutch and English hymns and songs are sung during lively worship when we focus on praise & adoration, thanksgiving, and intercession However, once a quarter, on the fifth Sunday, the choir Amsterdam Singing Ministries lead a Dutch worship service.
Sunday School for children is held during worship but also online. Children are encouraged to participate in worship and feel at home in church. We also welcome children who may not be regular worshippers with the Congregation.
