Chaplaincy Training

Recently, three of our local preachers completed a course in Basic Chaplaincy. At the request of the Leeward Islands District, MCCA, the United Theological College of the West Indies (UTCWI) organised this series of training events.

Representing the Holland Circuit were Brothers Alfred Glasgow and Matthijs Duyzer from the Amsterdam Congregation; and Bro. Lescard Thomas from the Rotterdam Congregation. On completion of the programme, the participants each received a certificate. In the linked photo you see Bro. Lescard Thomas receiving his certificate from the Superintendent minister at Rotterdam. Bros Glasgow and Duyzer received their certificates at Amsterdam.

The three preachers have agreed to host a training event at which they will share some of the knowledge and skills with other pastoral workers such as Class Leaders and Assistant Class Leaders. From both congregations.
